Jason Gaisie, aka “Pappy Kojo” was born on 13th February 1989 to parents Kofi Badu and Rosemond Gaisie. Pappy is a pet name given to him by his grandmother from childhood that has stuck with him till date. It represents love for the artist. Kojo is his birth name; it represents him being born on a Monday in Akan culture. The name means leadership.
Pappy Kojo is a Lil Wayne fanatic and you can hear the influence in his music. His infectious jovial spirit is also evident in his flow.
After he took a break from music to find himself and grow, he came to a realization that passion is what drives him. He has so much passion for music that he sacrificed his career in the culinary arts to pursue it. This facilitated his meteoric rise to fame.
